MEET THE TEAM
HAROLD LEVERENZ, Ph.D, PE
MANAGING MEMBER, PRINCIPAL ENGINEER
Dr. Leverenz has a degree from Michigan State University in Biosystems Engineering and completed his doctorate in Environmental Engineering at University of California at Davis. Harold has been involved in the development of sustainable water and waste management systems for the past 20 years. His areas of interest include decentralized and satellite water reuse systems, potable water reuse, biogas and resource recovery systems, natural treatment systems, rainwater and alternative source waters for water supply and technologies for nutrient recovery. Harold is a registered Civil Engineer in California.
RUS ADAMS M.S., PE
MANAGING MEMBER, ENGINEER
Rus earned a B.S. in Physics from the University of Washington (1966), an M.A. in Experimental Psychology from Columbia University (1972), and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Washington State University (1977). He is a Professional Civil Engineer in California, and since 1995 he has been a subject matter expert for the Enforcement Unit of the California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists. Rus has over five decades of widely varied professional engineering experience, including the development and commercialization of microbubble flotation technologies since 1994.
JESSICA HAZARD M.S.
MEMBER ENGINEER
Jessica is an Environmental Engineer with a specialization in water quality and treatment. She earned a B.S. in Chemistry from the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Davis. Her graduate studies focused on testing a nutrient recovery pilot scale system for reducing the nutrient load from wastewater. Prior to graduate school, Jessica worked as a R&D chemist for a startup gasification company where she focused on operating the pilot scale system and laboratory analysis. She continues to conduct research in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at U.C. Davis.
THOMAS MILLER M.S.
POLICY ANALYST AND MARKETING SPECIALIST
Thomas is an Environmental Policy Analyst with a focus on Geospatial Analysis and City & Regional Planning. He earned a B.S in Environmental Protection & Management at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and a M.S. in Environmental Policy & Management from the University of California, Davis. His graduate work entailed design research into landscape-scale land use adaptations in the Central California Delta. Other research areas included policy research surrounding nitrogen recovery at wastewater treatment plants and biomass recovery optimization from State fuel reduction efforts. Prior to this project and graduate studies, he worked as a restoration specialist for the San Luis Obispo Land Conservancy.
